I just wanted to share the announcements I made at the end of my launch party. So here is the post I made for it.

Thanks for joining me for this launch party. I hope you had fun . . . a little?

Anyway, to conclude, I just want to announce some things.

I mentioned merch when I announced the party. It's not much, but I plan to sell some stickers. Here are pics of the two character stickers I plan to sell:

They'll be available on etsy soon, God willing. I have them complete and ready to go, so I'll make the announcement when the shop is up.

There is a new version of the Silver Foxes: the Complete Series coming. It will include A Healer for Kasate, now that it has released. The Complete series is still on sale for another week (till April 14, 2024), so you can pick it up if you like (or borrow it on online libraries).

I have a new website launched: https://www.mranglin.com . I'll have to keep working on it, though. Right now, it has a monthly blog on Christian Creatives on it, and that's it. More should be coming soon.

A video version of the devotional is also on my Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCix_IffO8m9DRXXJ2IEWOVQ . I'm also uploading readings of two of my stories there every week.

April 7 is the launch party for A Healer for Kasate. It'll take place on deviantart.com/silver-foxes-fanclub. So watch the club so you don't miss anything--you don't have to though.

This journal is here to serve as an explanation of the event. It will start at 11:00am EST. I'll be standing by to answer questions or just chat, so feel free to hang out all day.

Contest rules and Privacy Junk

To enter the contest, comment "enter," "contest entry," or something similar on the Silver Foxes Fanclub (deviantart.com/silver-foxes-fanclub) journal only. Entries must be received by April 6, 2024 by 11:59pm EST. I will only accept entries on the Fanclub.

I will do a drawing for the winners. The chance of winning depends on how many people enter. You don't have to buy anything to enter. Void where prohibited.

If only one person enters, they will win the digital gift card.

It’s today! It’s today! Announcement day! I’m so excited!

So, you know how I said Rise to Power would be the last Silver Foxes finale?

Yeah, so . . .

I thought the Rise to Power trilogy was the end. I did. But then I was walking along thinking about the series, and I realized I had one more story to tell: Skitter’s. I never concluded his story. So, now I have. Here’s the description.

Nothing pleases Skitter more than sitting in his Macaya tree, talking to Kadaiel, and spending time with his little brother, Yori . . . except maybe receiving a letter from his best friend, Kathra, the girl he secretly wishes was more than a friend. But when Yori falls ill and needs surgery which cannot be performed on Kasate, Skitter must take his beloved brother across the ocean to find the Healer Kadaiel has chosen to save him. Can Skitter find her in time? Or will he lose his little brother forever?

Over the years I’ve been writing the Silver Foxes series, the art has changed. Today, I want to go through the book covers and tell you a little bit about them.

Silver Foxes:

When Taz (formerly Tazi-san or RisenArt on dA) drew this picture of Max,

I knew I wanted this as the cover of the first book, if I ever published it. So when I decided to release it, I used it (with permission, of course).

The first version of the book looked a bit different:

That’s because I thought Lulu (the platform I used back then) had a size limit for the cover file. This was the only way I could use Taz’s art and keep the file size small. When I revamped and re-released it, I changed it to the cover I have now.

Winds of Change:

Taz had the idea to make the lineart of this pic “silver” by inverting the colors—black background and white line art. I can’t remember why she couldn’t do it at the time, but I did what she suggested. I didn’t turn out so well.

She tried to fix it, but . . . eh. When I re-released this book on amazon, I colored in the original line art and turned it into what we have today.

Prelude to War:

This is the first cover done entirely by Taz. You can tell by the jump in quality.

Into Expermia:

Tazi’s character line art with my color and background. Again, you can tell . . . I’m not the best artist.

Interlude: A Series of Shorts.

Another book Taz did completely. Again, another jump in quality. Did anyone notice the visual pun?

My Experiences with J.R. Dunsworth as told by Mira

Taz’s line art with my design. The idea was to have it look like a lined notebook. I like how it came out.

Celebrity Dish

This is the first book I made on my own. I used alcohol markers to color it. It’s supposed to look like a magazine cover.

Six Weeks:

A downgrade in quality, I think. I did it, and it’s fine but I’m not thrilled with it.

Aftermath:

I did this one as well as the rest in the series. I like how Kathra looks in this.

Exposed:

It could be better, but I do love the blue, sparkly background.

Rosette’s Freedom:

I love how bright and colorful it is. I feel around this time, I got better at cover designs.

Tales from Expermia:

A simple cover. I had some short stories included in anthologies that were cannon to the series, and I wanted to release them before the series’ finale. Since all the stories had something to do with Expermia, I made a quick cover featuring the Expermian flag. Simple but effective, I think.

Rise to Power Parts 1-3

I love these. They are stained glass you might see in Expermia at the end of the series. My favorite is part 1 followed by 3 then 2. I just love how serious Hunter looks.

Those are all the book covers released in the series as of today. Not all were great, but I’m happy with them for the most part.

Not sure why I’m hyping it up like this. It might not even be all that exciting to you.
